I love to collect old negatives and I have been collecting for around 10 years. For me it is an insight into the lives of other people and the life they lived. Some I have show lives from young adults through to old age. I guess this is what happens when someone comes to the end of their journey. Most photos we will take in our lives will mean something to us but so little to others and perhaps this is why they are discarded.  But for me they are an archive of the past as good as any history book. I would say better. An example of this was the American Nanny / Photographer Vivian Maier. She took pictures for her own pleasure and it was not until after she passed that this treasure trove was discovered by the wider world. I am not say these here are anywhere near as good as hers but they provide a wonderful insight. 

I research the pictures and  this can take some time using the smallest of clues and Google street view. But when you do match a picture to a location it is, for me, like finding a small pot of gold. Then I clean them up digitally and adjust them. I hope you enjoy this as much as I have putting it together.
